H Apple πριν από λίγες ώρες ανακοίνωσε τη νέα σειρά iMac 21.5-inch Retina 4K υπολογιστών, καθώς και μία αναβαθμισμένη σειρά για τους 5Κ Retina iMac 27-inch η οποία έρχεται με κάποια αναβάθμιση στα χρώματα της οθόνης, με νέους επεξεργαστές Intel Broadwell και Skylake, επιλογές για το Fusion Drive χαμηλότερου κόστους, καθώς και με το νέο Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2 και το Magic Trackpad 2, όπου βλέπουμε πως το Trackpad 2 έρχεται με ενσωματωμένο Force Touch. Να τονίσουμε πως τα νέα αξεσουάρ Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2 και Magic Trackpad 2 έρχονται με επαναφορτιζόμενες μπαταρίες, Bluetooth 4.0 και άλλα χαρακτηριστικά.
Παράλληλα με τις διάφορες αναβαθμίσεις, η οθόνη 5Κ έχει ενσωματωθεί σε όλα τα μοντέλα iMac 27-ιντών, καθώς είδαμε πως η Apple αφαίρεσε τα non-Retina μοντέλα iMac από το Online Apple Store.

Πιο γρήγοροι επεξεργαστές
Εκτός από την αναβαθμισμένη τεχνολογία της οθόνης, τα ανανεωμένα iMac έρχονται και με γρηγορότερους επεξεργαστές για ακόμη πιο καλές αποδόσεις σε σχέση με πριν.
Ο νέος iMac 21.5-inch 4K Retina έρχεται με έναν 5ης γενιάς Intel επεξεργαστή και μία ανανεωμένη κάρτα γραφικών Inter Iris Pro Graphics.
O iMac 27-inch 5K Retina έρχεται με έναν 6ης γενιάς επεξεργαστή Intel (γνωστό με την ονομασία Skylake) και την τελευταία κάρτα γραφικών AMD Radeon R9, η οποία είναι ικανή να υποστηρίξει 3.7 teraflops υπολογιστικής δύναμης.
Και τα δύο μοντέλα iMac, φέρουν επίσης από ένα ζευγάρι θυρών Thunderbolt 2 και 802.11ac WiFi τεχνολογία, υποστηρίζοντας θεωρητικά μέχρι και 1.3Gbps ασύρματης μεταφοράς δεδομένων.
Παράλληλα, οι χρήστες πλέον θα μπορούν να παραμετροποιήσουν το Fusion Drive, βάζοντας 1ΤΒ σκληρού δίσκου και 24GB flash storage ή 2ΤΒ/3ΤΒ HDD με 128GB flash storage.
21.5-inch iMac με οθόνη 4K Retina
Ο νέος iMac 21.5-inch με Retina 4K οθόνη έχει ανάλυση οθόνης 4096-by-2304 pixels, δίνοντας ένα τελικό αποτέλεσμα της τάξεως των 9.4 εκατομμυρίων pixel. Με άλλα λόγια, αυτό είναι 4.5 φορές περισσότερο από την κανονική οθόνη των 21.5-inch iMac που έδινε η Apple μέχρι και εχθές.
Μια μικρή σύγκριση με την οθόνη του προηγούμενου iMac 21.5-inch το οποίο είχε 1920-by-1080 pixels, βλέπουμε πως η Apple έχει βελτιώσει αρκετά την οθόνη των νέων iMac.
5Κ Retina οθόμη σε όλους τους iMac 27-inch
Πλέον, όλα τα μοντέλα iMac 27-inch θα έρχονται με Retina 5K οθόνη. Όπως και πριν, η οθόνη 5Κ Retina θα έρχεται με ανάλυση 5120-by-2880 pixels, δίνοντας ένα συνολικό αριθμό 14,7 εκατομμυρίων pixels, πράγμα που σημαίνει πως έχει 7 φορές περισσότερα pixels σε σχέση με μια HD οθόνη.
Καλύτερες Οθόνες
Οι νέες οθόνες Retina οι οποίες έχουν ενσωματωθεί στα αναβαθμισμένα μοντέλα iMac, φέρουν μία πιο προχωρημένη τεχνολογία σε σχέση με πριν, όπου προσφέρουν ένα ευρύτερο Ρ3-based χρωματικό πεδίο και δίνοντας 25% περισσότερα χρώματα στην οθόνη. Ως αποτέλεσμα αυτού, τα νέα iMacs έχουν περισσότερα διαθέσιμα χρώματα να αποδόσουν σε σχέση με τις απλές sRGB οθόνες, με δυνατότητα να εμφανίζουν εικόνες με περισσότερη λεπτομέρεια και ευκρίνεια.
Διαθεσιμότητα
Η διαθεσιμότητα των νέων υπολογιστών iMac γίνεται μέσω του Apple Online Store, καθώς και μέσω των επίσημων μεταπωλητών της Apple. Σε Ελλάδα δεν έχουμε ακόμη τη δυνατότητα να γνωρίζουμε αν έχουν φτάσει ή το πότε θα τα δούμε για πρώτη φορά.
Οι τιμές τους κυμένονται από τα $1099 μέχρι $1299 για τον 21.5-inch iMac, ενώ για τα μοντέλα με οθόνη Retina 4K, η τιμή ξεκινά από τα $1499. Οι iMac με 27-inch Retina 5K ξεκινάν από $1799 μέχρι και $2299.
