H πρώτη εποχή των smartwatches αν μη τι άλλο έφερε πολλές συγκινήσεις και απογοητεύσεις. Η εν λόγω αγορά ακόμη δεν έχει φτάσει στην ωρίμανση της αλλά πάρα αυτά πλέον τόσο η Apple με το Apple Watch όσο και η Google με το Android Wear κάνουν κάθε χρόνο σωστά βήματα προς την σωστή κατεύθυνση.
Μέσα σε αυτό το πλαίσιο αποφάσισε να κινηθεί και μια εταιρεία τεχνητής νοημοσύνης από την Κίνα με το όνομα Mobvoi. Η πρώτη απόπειρα στον χώρο άκουσε στο όνομα Ticwatch. Ήταν μια προσεκτική κίνηση για να ελέγξουν την αγορά και η διάθεση του έγινε αποκλειστικά στην Κίνα.
Οι εντυπώσεις που άφησε αν μη τι άλλο ήταν θετικές και έτσι η εταιρεία πλέον με την 2η έκδοση του και συγκεκριμένα το Ticwatch 2 έρχεται να διεκδικήσει μερίδιο της παγκόσμιας αγοράς.
Η εταιρεία αποφάσισε να διαφοροποιηθεί τόσο από το Apple Watch όσο και από το Android Wear παρουσιάζοντας μια δική της έκδοση λογισμικού που είναι βασισμένη πάνω στο Android (5.1) και έχει την ονομασία Ticwear 4.0.
Αυτό είχε σαν αποτέλεσμα το Ticwatch 2 να είναι πάρα πολύ εύχρηστο και να συνδέεται πανεύκολα τόσο με Android όσο και με iOS συσκευές.
Τα βασικά χαρακτηριστικά του πλέον δεν είναι λίγα ενώ τόσο οι χειρονομίες όσο και η λειτουργίες με την φωνή ικανοποιούν και τους πιο απαιτητικούς. Εδώ παίζει ρόλο και ο χαρακτήρας της Mobvoi που για χρόνια ασχολείται ενεργά με την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη και την αναγνώριση φωνής. Αυτή η πολυετής εμπειρία αν μη τι άλλο έχει περάσει και στο Ticwatch 2.

Όσο αφορά την εμφάνιση του η Mobvoi συνεργάστηκε με τον Σκανδιναβό βιομηχανικό σχεδιαστή Mika Nenonen και το αποτέλεσμα αν μη τι άλλο εντυπωσιάζει για όλα τα μοντέλα του TicWatch 2.
