Αν και η Apple συνεχίζει το beta testing του macOS 12 Monterey μια νέα macOS Big Sur αναβάθμιση για όλους έγινε διαθέσιμη σήμερα και πιο συγκεκριμένα η 11.6. Το εν λόγω λογισμικό δεν έγινε beta testing και φέρνει δύο πολύ σημαντικές αναβαθμίσεις ασφαλείας με τα κενά που κλείνει να έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί από hackers.
H macOS 11.6 έγινε διαθέσιμη σήμερα μαζί με τις iOS 14.8 και watchOS 7.6.2. Η Apple κυκλοφόρησε μια αντίστοιχη αναβάθμιση ασφαλείας και για το macOS Catalina.
